Behind the frame

Hey there!
This was my first idea for the calender 2012, but I didn't like it when I was half through so I drew another picture and this layed until a few weeks unfinished here.
I finished it because I liked it a lot more then. :>

Edit: Both of them are main protagonists of a story of mine. They are actually two parts of the person. The short haired one is the part with the magicability and the other is the normal part with a free will.
I hope one day I can write it to the end or draw it. But until nor there are only a few parts of the stories and like you see the two designs of the characters.
